149th Kingston Confederate Memorial Day Service

2:30 p.m. Free admission. Kingston has honored their 250 unknown soldiers since April 23, 1865 in the oldest continuous service in America. The Kingston Woman's History Club began and carries on the tradition which now honors all war veterans. George W. "Buddy" Darden will be the guest speaker. Military salute by Carl Boyd Post 42 American Legion with grave decoration at Confederate Cemetery by area Boys Scouts and local children. Following the cemetery service, a Memorial Day Tea will be served by members of the Kingston Woman's History Club at the Martha Mulinix Annex, Kingston Museum. All persons are welcome to attend.

I-75 Exit 288, GA 113 south to US 41 north. Take Rome exit onto US 411 south. Go 5 miles to traffic light then right onto Hardin Bridge Rd. Turn left at end onto Main St.
